In a painful attempt to bring James Brown to a younger, hipper audience in Japan, someone at Universal thought it a good idea to have a small group of electronic artists remix and revamp the James Brown catalog. Unfortunately, this idea isn't as original as it seems on paper, as a large majority of hip-hop was built upon sampling and deconstructing the Godfather of Soul's mighty catalog.
